Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora

The Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora hotel is located on the beachfront with the majestic Teide as a backdrop. The resort has the longest saltwater hotel infinity pool in Europe, blending in perfectly with the exceptional natural environment.

Gran Meliá is known to be one of the most sustainable resorts in Europe. At Nu Skin, we care about our planet and we couldn't be more proud to be partnering with a hotel that has some great initiatives for the planet we live in. Below are just a few facts that the hotel is working on how to be more sustainable everyday:

  • All employees are on a continuous environmental training program – this has reduced waste disposal from 16 to 7 litres over a 2-year period (56% waste reduction).

  • Paper has been almost eliminated on all levels. For example, information leaflets have been scrapped and substituted by QR codes where the hotel app offers information needed.

  • One-time use plastics have been eliminated from the day to day operation of the hotel.

  • The water consumed by the hotel is generated almost entirely by its own desalination plant.

  • The hotel joined the European Union Urban Waste programme to improve the waste treatment programme in the hotel.

  • LED lighting has been installed throughout the hotel, movement detectors and robotics systems have halved the hotels invoice onto the environment.

  • The hotel has its own geothermal plant which generates warm air and all energy consumption is 100% renewable.
